Since graduating in Fine Art in 1997 (Leeds University), I have worked predominantly in arts business and within curatorial roles. Development of my own personal practice has been a slower process and since becoming a mum has been delayed further. Over the past 18 month I have revisited my practice and want to use my experience of working in the art world as ingredients to feed and inform my practice.
Achievements include being a model maker with Antony Gormley for the British Isles (1993), I produced a magazine called IDEA which was exhibited in Hackney, London (2005), co-curated an office-based exhibition during my time at Arts Council London (2006) and was lead coordinator and producer for the Save the Arts campaign working with the Hayward Gallery. More recently I have curated a programme about arts and mental health and was commissioned to produce a new artwork that was displayed at BACKLIT Gallery, Nottingham (2019).
